About Kate Kingman Holistic Therapy

Kate Kingman is a Holistic Therapist, specialising in Reflexology, Massage and Baby Massage. Based in Heaton Moor, also happily providing mobile treatments at homes and workplaces in the surrounding areas. Daytime and evening appointments are available Monday-Friday and some weekends

Prior to her studies in holistic therapies, Kate worked for 15 years within the branch network of a high street bank and saw success in a number of demanding roles. Following the birth of her second child she decided to re-evaluate her career path and came to the conclusion that it was time to make a change.

‘’I had spent the last few years thinking about a career change from the often stressful environment of working for the bank. I decided that it would have to be something that I was both passionate about and interested in. I also knew that I wanted to work with people as that was the part of my job in the bank that I loved. I had been interested in the benefits of both massage and reflexology from being a teenager and decided to become a qualified therapist ’’

Following the successful completion of both Massage and Reflexology qualifications (VTCT Level 3), Kate attended her infant massage instructors course which was led by ‘Hands on Babies’ who are, amongst others,  accredited by The Royal College of Midwives.

‘’I felt that if adults were enjoying my treatments so much, I wanted to help facilitate all age groups getting benefit from regular massage. My own children both responded well to massage as babies and I found that there were many elements of the treatments I was giving to adults that were also present in baby massage. I also knew that giving a massage can bring a sense of calm to the ‘giver’ as well as the recipient so it seemed a natural choice to share this knowledge with new parents’’

Kate is also qualified to instruct Baby Yoga classes and also gained this qualification through ‘Hands on Babies’.

Kate regularly attends workshops and seminars to ensure she is constantly learning and refreshing her skills.

Kate lives in Heaton Moor with her husband Steve, her son Freddie and her daughter Nell. She enjoys family time and loves being outdoors (when the weather allows!) She is a keen cook and is always looking for different ways to ensure that she and her family live their lives in a healthy yet balanced way.

‘’ My favourite thing about being a therapist  is connecting with my clients and their individual needs and often seeing improvement in their conditions. It is extremely rewarding to help bring a sense of calm and balance into the busy lives that people lead’’
